When you first enable app blocking in StudyDork, iOS prompts you to authorize Screen Time for your device. Tap continue, then select the distracting apps (such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat), app categories, or websites you wish to block. Once a focus or Pomodoro session starts, iOS automatically locks those apps until your timer ends, even if you close or background StudyDork.

StudyDork Pro replaces simple ad or gem unlock skips with physical friction to stop impulsive app checking. When selected, you can hold a 60-second T-pose or perform camera-counted squats or pushups to unlock early. All motion detection runs completely privately on your device using on-device vision processing; no camera footage or photos are ever recorded or transmitted to any server.

Ultra Locked In is an optional Pro mode designed for high-stakes study and exam prep. Once an Ultra Locked In session starts, every early unlock method is disabled: no ads, no gems, and no physical unlock actions. Your selected apps stay locked until the countdown timer completes.

You can create or join a clan with up to 50 members. Inside your clan's study room, every member who starts a focus session appears seated at a desk in real time. You can tap any desk to see what subject they are studying and how long they have been focusing. Group study time adds to your shared clan total on the weekly leaderboard.

Every focused minute earns 1 XP, and sessions with distracting apps blocked earn 30% more XP (+1.3 XP/min). Weekly XP determines your standing in a pod of 30 students within one of 21 leagues (Bronze I to Legendary III). Every Monday, top students in the pod are promoted to the next league, and the bottom students are demoted. Lifetime XP never resets and advances your level from 1 to 100.

StudyDork supports continuous focus timers and Pomodoro sessions. Free accounts include a 20-minute focus and 5-minute break split; StudyDork Pro unlocks custom intervals (e.g. classic 25/5 or deep 50/10). On iOS 16.1+, a Live Activity displays your remaining focus or break time on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island so you never have to unlock your phone to check the clock.

StudyDork Pro subscriptions are managed directly through Apple. To view, update, or cancel your subscription, open your iPhone Settings > tap your Apple Account at the top > Subscriptions > StudyDork. If you cancel, your Pro features remain active until the end of the billing period, and your earned level, XP, and room furniture stay permanently preserved.

No. StudyDork connects to your device calendars (such as Apple Calendar or Google Calendar) purely to help detect class schedules and automate study blocks. All calendar parsing occurs strictly on your device; we never upload, store, or sell your calendar events.
